The project was put on the fast track by the network, and an order of the pilot was expected by the end of the month. The Crazy Girls creators, Sandra Bowen and Jason Clark, were announced not to be involved with the project.
Development[]
A detailed breakdown of the pilot written by Anders was released on March 17, containing information on the plot and characters which would be in the series. None of the characters were related to the original series; however, the series' featured a similar premise: good friends who live in a small town and new visitors moving to the town.
On May 11, one day before DramaTV's upfront presentations, the network officially picked up the series for the 2006–2007 television season.
The show was largely considered unsuccessful during its first season. And it took a long time for the network to decide what to do with the show, as they needed a lot of shows on the network conisdering it was a new network. Despite all of that, the series was officially cancelled at the DramaTV upfront presentations for the 2007-2008 television season.
