Playmobil is a Ryanland drama television series created by Ryan Crim and Stephanie Mccord and premiered on CTV on September 16, 2008. However, due to low ratings on CTV, the network dropped the series and RBC picked up the series and began airing season 2 on September 14, 2009.
The series revolves around two sisters, Katie and Casey Wilson who moved to the small town of Playmovile because they wanted a more peaceful life without drama. However, they were wrong as this small town is much more dramatic than they could ever imagine.
On May 19, 2011, Playmobil was renewed for a 4th and as announced by RBC, it's final season. It was slated to air at 8/7c on Fridays in Winter following the final season of All About Us, but All About Us was cancelled on May 25, 2011, so Playmobil season 4 will begin in Fall 2011 and will end on mid-season, however it is still the final season of the series.
The fouth and final season of the series is scheduled to premiere on September 30, 2011.
Development[]
Ryan Crim and good friend Stephanie Mccord approached CTV with a new show idea. They loved the idea and green-lighted a pilot episode for the series. Crim and Mccord started to find cast members and write the pilot. By May, 2008, the whole cast had been casted and filming and writing began fro the pilot. The series premiered on CTV on September ??, 2008 and ran until winter of that year. However, the series was placed on a hiatus after it's season 1 finale. On March 16, 2009, it was announced the series had been cancelled by CTV. Ryan Crim and his fellow members at RBC agreed on picking up the series on their network. The second season premiered on September ??, 2009 on the new network and is still airing there in the present.
